From I-40 (Do not take 240 Asheville - remain on I-40): Take the Biltmore Estate exit. (If traveling east, this will be exit 50, and you will turn left at the bottom of the ramp. If traveling west, it will be exit 50B, and you will bear right at the bottom of the ramp.) Move to the far right lane. Follow Hendersonville Road/Biltmore Avenue 1 1/4 mile (4 traffic lights). Look for the Residence Inn hotel on your left. St. Dunstan's Rd will be the first street on the left past the hotel. Follow St. Dunstan's
Road 2 1/2 blocks. At the intersection of St. Dunstans Rd. & St. Dunstans Cir. (directly in front of you) will be a sign "Parking for Acorn Cottage". To the left of the sign, follow the wooded gravel driveway downhill to the parking area 1 level below the house. Take the stairs from the parking area to the entrance of the house.
Alternate Route from I-40: From I-40 (Do not take 240 Asheville - remain on I-40): Take the Biltmore Estate exit. Stay in the left lane, and follow 25N past the entrance to the Biltmore, and across the bridge. At the end of the bridge, turn right onto St. Dunstan's Rd (no road sign). Follow the road to the top of the hill. The first street will be St. Dunstan's Circle. Make a sharp turn to the right, and follow the grave driveway downhill to the parking area, which is 1 level below the house. Take the stairs from the parking area up to the entrance of the house.
From I-81 /I-26E: At Johnson City, TN, take 181S/I-26E to Asheville. Take the Patton Ave/Downtown exit. At the top of the ramp, turn left onto Patton Ave. Go through 8 traffic lights. At the tall obelisk, turn right onto Biltmore Ave. Go 1 1/4 miles. Turn right onto St. Dunstans Rd. Follow St. Dunstan's Road 2 1/2 blocks. At the intersection of St. Dunstans Rd. & St. Dunstans Cir. (directly in front of you) will be a sign "Parking for

From Spartanburg: Take I-26W to Asheville. Merge onto I-40W (Do Not take 240 Asheville - remain on I-4O). Go 4 miles to exit 50. Follow directions from I-40 as stated above.
From Blue Ridge Parkway: Travel north or south on the Blue Ridge Parkway to the Folk Art Center. Take exit "West Asheville" to Hwy 70W. After you see the Veteran's Hospital, turn left onto Hwy 81W. Travel the length of Hwy 81W. Travel the length of Hwy 80W. Turn right onto Biltmore Ave. (Wendy's fast food will be on your left). Move to the left lane. 1 1/2 blocks, turn left onto St. Dunstan's Rd. Follow St. Dunstan's Road 2 1/2 blocks. At the intersection of St. Dunstans Rd. & St. Dunstans Cir.
